Girls JV / Varsity Basketball

Vince King

Vince returns for his 3rd season as JV girls basketball coach and his 2nd season as Varsity girls basketball coach.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Florida State University.  Vince accepted the Athletic Director position for the 2007-08 school year.  He coached a girls varsity team in Florida to a final four appearance.  He has 3 children attending Byne. 

Boys JV / Varsity Basketball

Karl Harris

Karl Harris will be back again this year to coach the JV and Varsity Boys Basketball teams. This will be his 8th year as JV coach and his 4th year as Varsity coach. Both of his children, Dan and Karla, graduated from Byne. Dan was later a teacher, coach and Athletic Director at Byne. Karl's wife, Pat, was a teacher at Byne for many years.

Varsity Golf &

Varsity Baseball

Stan Edmonds

Stan returns for his second year as Varsity Golf coach and Varsity Baseball coach. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Valdosta State University, played High School baseball at Westover High School and also played college baseball at Albany State University.  Stan has a daughter who is a sophomore at Byne.

JV / Varsity Cheerleading

Sharon McDonald

Sharon returns for her second year as Jr. Varsity Cheerleading Coach and will be the Varsity Cheerleader Coach this year.  While in High School in Mississippi, she was a cheerleader and led their squad as captain.  She holds an Associate Degree from Hinds Community College where she was on the college dance squad, Hinds Hi-Steppers, for two years.  She also holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Barbara Burns

Barbara will be assistant Varsity Cheerleader coach this year.  She was the Byne coach for the 2006-07 Varsity State Championship squad. She has been a volunteer at BMBS since she moved to Albany in 2002.  She has 2 children attending Byne.  She holds a Bachelors Degree in accounting from the University of Georgia.

Varsity Softball

Sandy Bell

Sandy graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in coaching and sports administration.  She played softball in middle school and high school, and coached high school softball for one year prior to coming to Byne. Sandy is excited to be at Byne this year and she looks forward to what the Lord has in store.

Soccer Coordinator

Mrs. Suzan Rewis

Suzan has been with Byne for 25 years were she has served in many faculty and staff positions.  Suzan  founded the YMCA soccer program at Byne in the Spring 2006 and has been coordinator since.  She has worked hard to provide Byne with a Middle School soccer team which will begin in Spring of 2008.
