Byne Christian Golf Teams Shine as 2025 GCAA State Tournament Runners-Up

Byne Christian School’s golf program had a standout day at the 2025 GCAA State Tournament on April 28 at The Chimneys Golf Club in Winder, Georgia, with both the high school and middle school teams finishing second in the state.

In the high school 18-hole match, Hayden Newell, Owen McFarlin, and Gracie Gaines claimed 3rd, 4th, and 5th place, respectively, for low medalist honors. Middle school golfer Cohen Kinnett earned a second-place finish for low medalist in the nine-hole middle school match. Teammates Preston Rooks (high school) and Darius Greene (middle school) also competed in the match.

Coach Stan Edmonds celebrated the teams’ success, saying, “Our golfers showed up with focus and heart—this finish is a testament to their hard work all season.”
