Discipleship connects the heart, hands and the mind. The student experience is important and extends far beyond the classroom. From sports teams and clubs to upper school “houses,” students experience the blessing of serving, the benefit of friendships, and the joy of celebrating.

Byne Christian School (BCS) utilizes a house system in grades 7th-12th to strengthen the school culture, develop student leadership, enrich the fellowship and camaraderie between students, and to build character. Every Traditional and Hybrid student within these grade levels is assigned to a house, and each house has attributes they focus on for character development. Similar to student government, student leaders serve as “house leaders,” while each house has assigned teachers to act as “house sponsors.” The houses conduct service projects, both on and off campus, compete for points through friendly competitions, and enjoy specific chapel time together as avenues for strengthening spiritual and relational elements.
