Walking Worthy: A Principal’s Heart for Our Students

A Word From Dr. Denise Hall

I’m just going to share what's been on my heart these past three weeks! Every morning when I walk around our school, I can't help but smile at the buzz of excitement that fills every corner. Our kids have settled in like they've been here for months and honestly, watching them discover new things every day reminds me why I love what we do here.

So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” Colossians 1:10

This year's theme, "Walking Worthy," has become so much more than just a motto. It's not about being perfect, it's about choosing kindness when someone's having a rough day, showing respect even when no one's watching, and tackling that challenging assignment with determination instead of giving up. Your children are living this out in the sweetest ways!

Mark your calendars in big, bold letters! September 11th is going to be extra special! We're rolling out the red carpet for Grandparents Day, and let me tell you, your Grammar kids are already planning what they want to show their grandparents. I can hardly wait to see all those proud grandparent faces lighting up our hallways.

I have to pause here and gush about our incredible teachers for a moment. These teachers don't just teach your children, they love them, pray for them, and lose sleep worrying about the ones who are struggling. They celebrate the small victories and provide gentle encouragement when things get tough. They're not just educators.  They are parent partners, cheerleaders, and sometimes even a shoulder-to-cry-on when needed. We are so blessed to have them!

I wish you could see what I see every day! Your children are raising their hands eagerly, asking the most thoughtful questions, and genuinely caring about learning. The enthusiasm is infectious. They're helping each other and taking such pride in their work. It makes my principal heart so happy!

We're not just about filling heads with knowledge here - we're about nurturing hearts, building character, and helping your precious children grow into the amazing people God created them to be. Every single day brings new opportunities for them to discover something wonderful, whether it's in the classroom, on the playground, or in their relationships with friends.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting us with your most precious gifts. Being part of your children's journey is the greatest privilege, and I don't take a single day of it for granted. Let's keep lifting these amazing kids up in prayer as we watch them grow and flourish together.
